About Donte M. Palmer

Speaker | Pastor | Fatherhood Advocate | Changemaker

Donte M. Palmer knows firsthand that one ordinary moment can lead to extraordinary change.

Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, Donte has built a life around challenging expectations, advocating for families, empowering young people, and inspiring others to discover their purpose.

The Family Behind the Mission

Beyond the stages, television appearances, and advocacy work, Donte's greatest joy is being a husband and father.

He shares his life with his wife, LaKeisha Palmer, and their three sons, Isaiah, Taylor, and Liam. Together, they are the heart behind everything he does.

For Donte, fatherhood isn't simply a cause he advocates for. It's a responsibility he lives every day. His family continues to shape his perspective on leadership, faith, sacrifice, and the importance of being present.

Before he is a speaker, pastor, or advocate, he is a husband and dad. And those are the roles he treasures most.

A Father Who Sparked a Global Movement

In 2018, Donte's life changed when a photograph of him changing his son's diaper in a public restroom went viral. The image exposed a problem millions of fathers understood but few were discussing: the lack of changing tables in men's restrooms.

Rather than allowing the conversation to fade, Donte founded Squat For Change, an advocacy movement dedicated to changing how society supports fathers and families.

His efforts attracted international media attention, including coverage from CNN, ABC, NBC, FOX, and the BBC. Through partnerships with Pampers, Procter & Gamble, and other organizations, the movement helped champion the installation of 5,000 changing tables across the United States and Canada.

What began with one father advocating for his child became a movement that challenged businesses, communities, and corporations to think differently.

A Pastor With a Heart for the Next Generation

While Donte's advocacy work opened doors around the world, his calling to ministry opened doors to the hearts of young people.

An ordained minister with a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Trinity International University, Donte has dedicated himself to helping young people develop their faith, discover their identity, and understand their value.

Through innovative youth ministry, community outreach, and relationship-centered leadership, Donte helped grow a youth gathering from approximately 20 students to more than 700 young people.

His approach to ministry is grounded in a simple belief: young people are not just the future of the church. They are an important part of the church today.

A Speaker With a Message That Matters

Today, Donte brings his experiences in advocacy, fatherhood, ministry, and leadership to audiences seeking more than motivation.

His presentations challenge individuals to embrace their purpose, confront limitations, lead courageously, and create meaningful change.

Whether speaking to corporate executives, educators, students, faith communities, or community leaders, Donte believes the greatest movements often begin with ordinary people willing to take extraordinary action.

One voice. One decision. One moment. That's all it takes to begin changing the world.
